For those who reside in the outer regions of Aleria, the day of bestowal is what determines their destiny.

Years have past since he found himself abandoned without memories: years of hunger, ostracization, and solitude on the streets of Alazel without any hope of reprieve; of entrapment at the hands of the creatures that roamed the wilds beyond the city walls that made leaving impossible.
Now, there is a chance for everything to change.
In a cruel world where power could be gained through slaughter, strength meant everything. For Dante, that meant that the last his hopes lay in the Goddess’ blessing. A combat Classification would be a lifeline, a way for him to escape the hell he had been living in. Anything else would only mean death.
This is a fantasy story that is heavily influence by LitRPG elements, which include: classes, status screens, skills, leveling, and a form of experience gain, among other things.

This should be added to the litrpg subgenre as well…also I think that reason you don’t know about is called a paycheck generally a helpful thing. Only if you care about things or eating that is. :)

Here I was thinking that his art would sustain him.. or maybe bark soup?..
AnyMcwho this book is rather good, even tho the main character does choose to specialise overly heavily into one specific direction in this Sword “&” Sorcery tale..

Lol and I agree great book I like that the whole stats and leveling is merged into the world seamlessly. Also they do a good job of explaining the magic system in a way that it doesn’t interfere with the class system set-up. There’s a level of intrigue introduced that really draws you in I do hope the rest of the books come out soon this is just a portion of the already existing story. Thanks for sharing.

Decent book. Somewhat generic LitRPG with Harry Potter tropes but it can be violent and aimed at an older audience. Worth a listen if you like the genre
