Having trouble determining if this is a work of fantasy or non-fiction?
If so and you’re on medication it needs to be adjusted and if you’re not on medication you should talk to your doctor to determine if you should be.

If someone says something is all black or all white instead of jumping to the conclusion, “ha ha, I caught you in a contradiction” and asking “which is it then? Make up your mind, you flip-flopper!” The other option is that your vocabulary is impoverished and that it lacks a intermediate term for something between the two seemingly mutually exclusive options. If you introduce a new intermediate gradation of grey it becomes obvious why both earlier extremes seem to apply. The bible was in all likelihood compiled from either make-believe thinking of various authors — who may have actually believed their delusions — or intentionally made-up assertions for social control purposes. Hence it’s an attempt at writing something non-fic which is itself a work of fantasy. Any other questions?

Merely observations. There are multiple genres present in the Bible - both intentionally non-fictional & fictive in character. It’s more like a compendium of writings, spiritually ordained (a library hoard) - philosophy, historical narrative, letters, poetry, parable, vision, apocalyptic, law, wisdom literature, prophecy, gospels, etc. etc.
So, it’s never a question of “The Bible is” - rather it’s “Which Bible, buddy?”
Delusions & misconceptions tend to be things that other people & opponents have, rarely our reductive selves.
