Depending on your device, if it doesn’t like m4b’s simply renaming it .m4a works also… beyond that there are plenty of fast free converters available.

Thanks for your words.
But I’ve been in too many discussions on too many forums and downloaded too many software trying to get my PC to convert any file type to mp3, but it’s a lost cause.
It’s so picky that I’ve finally given up.
All I could do is ask for an mp3 version for books that seem interesting. Otherwise, I forget about them and move on. There are many others in mp3 and they keep me happy.
