This is the second posting of the Monkey I’ve come across on audiobookbay. Though I find this narrator less unpleasant than the last, I find both to be atrocious, like unlistenable. :-(
I do recommend the book and this translation just not this audiobook narration.

Seconding what @bloodhound99 said, this guy has a fey upper class English accent already and he’s leaning into even harder for his performance with lots of rolling r’s and weird pauses in the middle of sentences. It’s very annoying and you have to listen closely to understand what he’s saying, but you’ll still probably miss words. I’m curious if even working class English people are able to easily follow what he is saying. Apparently he is mostly known for appearing in a series of raunchy comedy films, which makes him a disrespectful choice for an adaptation of one of the world’s most greatest pieces of literature.
