maybe I’m a newb but it won’t let me listen unless I have an audible account. Is there a way to give me permission to access this file?

.aa files are DRM protected. I convert them using the following method, there may be better ways.
1 - add to itunes as a .aa
2 - open Virtual CD 10
3 - ‘insert virtual blank’
4 - ‘activate sound file mode’
5 - burn the entire .aa audiobook to mp3
6 - convert the .wav to .mp3 using itunes

The files have been encoded to be locked by the user account belonging to the original buyer of the audible audiobook. If anyone knows of a way to convert the files without adding them to iTunes…
