A BIG props to bobbybigguns for this PERFECTLY exectuted upload! Not only are the files tagged properly, chaptered, etc, but GUESS what? ALL 5 books fit in under a 1.5GB size!!! PERFECT! People uploading should take notice that MONO spoken word audiobooks should not be any higher than 64kbps bitrate! There is no need to rip an audiobook in stereo, or at the same bitrates as a MUSIC album! It’s just not necessary…
One more thing, YES Smart Audiobook Player is the MOST convenient & best app out there. Free for a month, but only 99 cents after that, but completely worth it…if you are using an Apple device well, I can say nothing but I feel sorry for ya! haha :)
Thanks again for a PERFECT uplaod, I already have these but just thought it deserved recognition…other uploaders take NOTE!!!

Given the positive response to this upload, how did you do it? I have recently started using Chapter and Verse and on occasion run into size problems even at 64kpbs (running times over 20 hours tend to be a problem). Pointers would be appreciated.

Big up to bobbybigguns & many thanks for your time and upload. Although I agree with WHEEZY and promote ripping at 64, down to 32 kbps even, THESE files have been produced at a degraded & measly 16 kbps!! Needless to say audio quality is metallic & non-tonal, whittled down to an unbearable muffled robotic mumble. A work this epic should be paired with an audio quality that portrays it’s fruits, not hides them.

@houseofreggae - Good thing are tons of options for these books. I, and most people I know, are fine with these small audio books. I personally didn’t like the narrator and my ears cannot tell a noticeable difference except in the free space on my player. I don’t really create these for others. I share what I have done and if peeps like it, they can use it. If not, they can look for something bigger (and probably not chaptered).

Quality is quite bad, thanks for the effort but this isn’t pleasant listening…
and for anyone who has trouble with large files when you convert them from mp3 yourself; use Itunes with the following setting:
Custom
Stereo bit rate: 64kbps
Sample rate: Auto
Channels: mono
This makes them far smaller than the mp3 files with little to no loss in quality. (not readily noticable anyhoo)
Then toss them into chapter and verse.
Best way I’ve found, short of finding high quality m4b’s online.

You do realise that all apple devices have build in M4B support? I’ve been using my ipod touch to listen to audiobooks for years… it’s the main reason I bought the thing.
