the story is just, meh. nothing exciting, also short and split into multiple books. But entirely… the story is can but summed up in like 3 sentences and you will have the full picture. That is how little action is going on in this book.
Everything about this book is “its okay… I guess”

Oki so listening/reading any books by Skylar Grant seem to require a seriously strong capacity to suspend disbelief along with tolerance for the nonsensical along with not caring for inconsistencies/continuity.
I just finished listening to the third book in his Futuristic Dungeon Core alternate reality series and it required all my patience to get thru. What kept me listening was the rather constant flow of the story even though it was a bit funky at times.
Problem with this Crucible Shard book.. Well so far its the attempt at being serious about the IRL world which is totally unbelievable tbh. I am barely 20min’s in at chapter 4 and its hard to keep going.
Maybe if I started endulging in mind altering recreational drugs things would go smoother.
