Seventeen-year-old Ember Denning has made an art of isolating herself. She prefers the dead. She spends her days skipping school in old cemeteries and her nights hiding from her alcoholic father at the funeral home where she works. When her own father dies, Ember learns her whole life is a lie.

Thank you. A very well seeded audiobook that is very different from the ususal genre I listen to, but the Goodreads reviews were compelling. I’ll be giving this a try and appreciate the opportunity to do so.

there is a movie with this title in fact, i had the misfortune to see this movie when i was young, seen it at the crest theater in wichita, kansas, scared the hell out of me. this was my first living dead movie.
