Shudder, I just can not get into these. The combination of the way the story reads and the narrators interpretation, just does not work for me.
I can not describe it adequately to my satisfaction, imagine if the narrative voice keept dipping into registers that border on what baby talk or how some people sounds like when encouraging their dog.. Ooh Good Boi yeess youuuu are. Anyway that’s not in my opinion an adequate description but best I can do.
Sad, since I really could use the distraction of a few books to listen to.
While neither great nor abysmally bad, the first book/story along with what I managed to get through of the second before returning it on audible, seemed to me to show promise from a story world/universe perspective. Especially so from a fairly new author.
